Dear and esteemed colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the 4th South Eastern Europe Joint Meeting of Thoracic Anesthesiologists and Surgeons is planned to be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (Exhibition Hall, ground floor, and Mediteran Adriatic Hall, first floor) in Belgrade, from October 24–25, 2025.
The meeting is organized by the Association of Thoracic Surgeons of Serbia, with the aim of continuing the tradition of knowledge and experience exchange among thoracic surgeons and anesthesiologists in Southeastern Europe, featuring participation from regional experts and distinguished invited speakers from leading European centers.
We expect an exceptionally high-quality and significant meeting of leaders in thoracic anesthesia and surgery. This year, special attention will be given to residents and trainees, with dedicated sessions in which they will present their knowledge and lead discussions.
The main idea of the meeting, as always, is to break down boundaries between different medical fields, primarily thoracic surgery and anesthesia, as well as related disciplines without which successful evaluation and treatment of thoracic surgery patients would not be possible. Topics will include the challenges of introducing new complex procedures, advances in education and training for surgeons and anesthesiologists, all contributing to raising the quality and success of patient care.
Key themes of the meeting will cover modern challenges in lung cancer treatment, minimally invasive surgery, thoracic trauma, lung transplantation, innovations in thoracic anesthesia, and intensive care therapy.
The meeting will have an international character, with participation from eminent invited speakers, and the program is accredited as an international congress for physicians and nurses. Approximately 150 participants from Serbia, the region, and beyond are expected to attend.
Given the exceptional importance of holding such a meeting for thoracic surgery in Serbia and the region, we would be extremely grateful for your support through sponsorship to help us realize the organization of this meeting.
